1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or using the services of Shields Auto Centre ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services Description
Shields Auto Centre provides automotive repair, maintenance, and related services at our Georgetown, Ontario location. Our services include but are not limited to oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, auto body repair, AC service, and car detailing.
3. Appointments and Scheduling
- Appointments can be scheduled through our website, by phone, or in person
- We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments if necessary
- Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance when possible
- No-shows may affect future appointment scheduling privileges
4. Estimates and Pricing
- All estimates are provided in good faith based on initial inspection
- Additional repairs discovered during service will be communicated before proceeding
- Written authorization is required for work exceeding the original estimate by more than 10%
- Prices are subject to change without notice
- Promotional pricing and coupons cannot be combined unless specified
5. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements are made
- We accept cash, debit, and major credit cards
- Vehicles may not be released until full payment is received
- Outstanding balances may accrue storage fees after 48 hours
- We reserve the right to place a mechanic's lien on vehicles with unpaid balances
6. Warranties
We stand behind our work and offer warranties on parts and labor:
- Labor warranty: 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first
- Parts warranty: As provided by the manufacturer
- Warranties do not cover damage from accidents, misuse, or neglect
- Warranty claims must be made at our facility
- Proof of service is required for warranty claims
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shields Auto Centre shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.
8. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate vehicle and contact information
- Remove personal belongings from vehicles before service
- Inform us of any known vehicle issues or concerns
- Pick up vehicles promptly after service completion
- Maintain safe driving practices after repairs
9. Vehicle Storage
- Vehicles awaiting service or pickup are stored at the owner's risk
- We are not responsible for theft, vandalism, or weather-related damage
- Storage fees may apply for vehicles not picked up within 48 hours of completion
- Abandoned vehicles may be disposed of in accordance with Ontario law
10. Website Use
When using our website, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when booking appointments or submitting forms
- Not attempt to interfere with the website's functionality
- Not use the website for any unlawful purpose
- Not reproduce or distribute website content without permission
11. Intellectual Property

12. Dispute Resolution
